Beverley's Breeze: Leg 14 of the Challenge

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well! I just wrapped up leg 14 of my journey, and boy, what a day it was! First things first, can we talk about the weather? I mean, it's the end of April, and yet it felt like midwinter out there at Beverley. But hey, a little chill won't stop us, right?

So, let me tell you about some of the highlights from today. As I was making my way through the crowd, who do I bump into? None other than England football legend Chris Waddle! It was surreal rubbing shoulders with such a sporting icon. And that's not all—I also had the pleasure of meeting Stuart Lewis and Graham Lonsdale from Purple Reins Racing. What a treat to connect with fellow racing enthusiasts!

Now, let's talk about generosity. BK Racing, you absolute legends! They gave me a free £20 charity bet. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on our side this time, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

A massive shoutout to Gerry Darling, who opened up his home to me for the night. Let me tell you, folks, Gerry's place is like a racing fan's dream come true. He's got this amazing bar and racing den set up—it's like stepping into a whole new world. Thank you, Gerry, for your hospitality and for keeping the racing spirit alive!

Now, onto the real reason we're all here—the cause. Drumroll, please... We've now raised a staggering £4234 for Dementia UK! Can you believe it? And get this—it's only been 14 legs out of 59! That's a whopping 21% of our overall target. Talk about smashing it out of the park!

But hey, the journey's far from over, folks. Online donations are still pouring in, and every contribution counts. So, if you're feeling generous and want to support the cause, head over to our Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/page/aroundthecourses and make a difference today.

As I bid adieu to Beverley, I'm filled with excitement for what's to come. Next stop: Doncaster, home of the oldest classic, the St. Leger. I can't wait to see what adventures await us there.

Till next time, keep spreading kindness and cheering for the champions, both on and off the track. Together, we can make a world of difference.

Catch you later!
